We will be running five Learn to Row courses, for 10 participants each week, over the summer holidays. They will run during the weeks shown below from 13:30 to 15:30 each week day and will provide the participants with a basic introduction to the sport.
The course is aimed at children aged 12-16 who are new to rowing and want to see if it is a sport they would be interested in taking up. The club will be recruiting new members for the 2021/22 season at the end of August and children joining the course will be considered for membership. However, we do not expect to have sufficient membership places for all applicants and participation on the course does not guarantee club membership.
The course is run by qualified rowing coaches who normally coach our junior squad and have all been DBS checked.
Participants on the course must be strong swimmers and parents will be required to confirm that the children can swim 50m in light clothing.
The cost of the course will be £200.
To apply to join the course please first read our Junior Handbook then follow the attached link and choose the 2020/21 2.1 Junior Applications and Learn to Row Enquiries option. When you have created an account the option to join the course will be in the payments section of your profile if there are places still available. Complete all contact details and declarations for the course. You will receive further details about the course if your place is confirmed.
