Come and join us.
We are looking to recruit experienced oarsmen and women to join our Senior squads.
We have qualified coaches to coach you, with the knowledge and experience to take you to the top. John Graham, who coaches our Senior women, coached both our Henley Women’s Regatta winning Senior Double in 2012 and our Senior Single finalist in 2013.
Interested? You are welcome to just come down and see our fantastic facilities.
The Senior and Masters Women’s squads provide a supportive and encouraging environment for women seeking to train regularly and compete at the highest level domestically, with athletes aiming for selection for the Home Countries Regatta, and Rowing Ireland this year or for those who haven’t as much time available and want to race in local competitions the general women’s group welcomes you.
With a top fleet of empachers, an idyllic 7K stretch and no tidal surf in sight; Walbrook’s senior men squad is relaunching this September. If you are interested in learning more about the project or visiting the club, don’t hesitate to contact the captain, Andrew Crossley. If you are an experienced rower and want to get back into rowing and be part of a new dynamic group working towards getting back into Henley after a few years out, get in touch. We understand that people have other commitments so our training works around these.
If you’ve never tried it before but you’re training alone in the gym getting into shape or think that you’ve reached a plateau, get in touch. We have a group of coaches who are keen to coach you at all levels and commitments
For those who do not want to race or who cannot commit a large amount of time to the sport or who simply want to improve their technique and go for a paddle we offer our “improvers group”. Squad coordinators help improvers to get crews together and will find a willing club member to accompany the group.
Learn to Row courses are occasionally offered for novice rowers. Apply to the club to be added to be informed when these courses will run.
